ANTI VIRUS

The second most important program to have on your pc next to a firewall is a good anti virus program. Like all programs there are many to choose from. You've probable heard of Norton or MacAfee which also do a suite of program's which can cost a bit. They may be just right for you, so check them out. Some people have complained of poor support or that they use a lot of system resources.

AVG Free Edition is the well-known anti virus protection tool. AVG Free is available free of charge to home users for the life of the product. The nice thing about Avast is that it speaks to you, letting you know that it has been updated, nice! Also the ability to schedule a pre-boot scan, that's before you're pc boots up fully, is excellent. I highly recommend Avast but the choice is yours to make. There are others out there worth checking out.
